At the beginning of the year, with the financial support of the "Yalkezian" Foundation, we started constructing a 500 m irrigation water line in Debedavan — the project aimed to address the critical need to improve the irrigation system of the village. Due to insufficient irrigation water, the village needed help cultivating high-value crops.

The active participation of the community and the "Tavush" Water Users Association significantly contributed to the implementation of the project. "Shen" charitable non-governmental organization provided 400 m of 200 mm diameter, 100 m of 160 mm diameter polyethylene pipes, necessary valves, and other construction materials.

The "Tavush" Water Users Association carried out actual water line construction works involving the labor force of the beneficiary residents of the community.

Thus, as a result of the project, 35 beneficiary farms, which cultivate grapes, peaches, pomegranates, kaki, and other crops on an area of about 20 hectares, instead of receiving irregular irrigation water from the underground aquifer, receive water on demand through a pressurized pipeline. Now, they have the opportunity and are already starting to implement drip irrigation, which will lead to significant water savings, as well as increased yields and incomes.
