Annual Summary Meeting of Marketing Groups from Gegharkunik Marz

On November 3, in Vardenis, we held the 2018-2022 final discussion meeting on the activities and results of the marketing groups created within the framework of the " Horticulture Market Development Project (HMDP) in Vayots Dzor and Gegharkunik Marzes of Armenia" project. The project is financed by the HEKS-EPER organization and implemented in cooperation with the "Syunik-Development" NGO. Within the framework of the project, 27 marketing groups were created in two marzes, 19 in Gegharkunik and 8 in Vayots Dzor marzes. Marketing groups are engaged in fruit procurement, sale, processing, and cold storage. 

Forty-five members from 19 marketing groups established in Gegharkunik Marz during the previous five years were present at the meeting. During the meeting, marketing groups presented their works, achievements, and successes in 2018-2022. They also introduced the planning for 2023. We discussed the problems and difficulties of marketing groups—their local market and fruit sales activities and their experience of cooperation with processors.
