"Aghnjadzor community pasture users association consumer cooperative" Ready to Provide sowing service

Since 2023, "Shen" charitable non-governmental organization has been providing support to "Aghndjadzor Community Pasture Users Association Consumer Cooperative". With the help of our agronomists, the members of the cooperative were able to draw up a strategic plan for the next two years. According to the plan, the cooperative should expand its activities and provide services in 12 rural settlements included in the Yeghegis consolidated community, Vayots Dzor marz. During the analysis of the challenges of the target community, it was found that there are no farmers in 12 beneficiary villages and the farmers use the services of Ararat Marz equipment. As a result, many arable lands are not cultivated due to the violation of sowing dates, excessive material costs.

In 2024, within the framework of "The establishment and strengthening of agricultural cooperatives with the use of improved legislation and modern technologies" project funded by Bread for the World, the "Consumer Cooperative in Aghnjadzor Community Pasture Users Association" was granted a new sawing machine. Already in this spring, 97 ha of spring wheat and barley will be sown in Aghnjadzor and the neighboring villages Sali, Hors, Karaglukh, Goghtanik, and in autumn, up to 50 ha of autumn wheat will be sown in the village of Aghnjadzor alone.

The sawing machine will serve not only the members of the cooperative, but the cooperative will also provide a paid service to the farmers of Aghnjadzor and neighboring villages.
