A Visit to the "Royal" Food Canning Factory
On September 8, professors and students of "Badeyan" Vardenis State College, Gegharkunik marz, visited the "Royal" food canning branch of the Proshyan Brandy Factory in Armavir marz.
Anna Avchyan, director of the branch and chief winemaker, introduced the 17 participants in detail to the entire process, from purchasing vegetables and grapes to storing the final product. The participants were interested in the raw material purchase process, to which the director responded by presenting the procurement contracts procedure.
Such visits help build networks and later form the basis for effective collaborations. We have carried out the visit within the framework of the "Horticulture Market Development Project (HMDP) in Vayots Dzor and Gegharkunik Marzes of Armenia" project, which is financed by the Swiss HEKS-EPER organization and implemented by "Shen" and "Syunik-Development" NGOs.
