Training for farmers and members of cooperatives
From August 26 to September 5, we held theoretical courses on "Improvement measures for the restoration of pastures and grasslands." A total of 262 farmers and members of cooperatives from Amasia extended community of Shirak marz and several extended communities of Gegharkunik marz participated in the training.
During the training, the agronomist of "Shen" NGO held a comparative discussion between the presented technology and the traditional method. The participants mainly asked about the rate of sowing and applied extra-root fertilization. Our specialist provided solid and comprehensive answers to all their questions.
At the end of the training in each community, we provided relevant information materials and brochures to all participating farmers and members of cooperatives.
We conducted the course within the framework of the "Fodder production and pasture improvement as a COVID-19 response measure" project, supported by GIZ and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.
