Continuation of Dzoraglukh Village Water Line Construction
Despite its rich agricultural focus, Dzoraglukh faces challenges, notably in the repair of drinking and irrigation water lines, as well as inter-village roads. Addressing these issues will enhance the overall well-being and sustainability of Dzoraglukh village.
The primary objective of this project is to improve the quality of life for Dzoraglukh village residents by enhancing agricultural productivity through the improvement of irrigation infrastructure. In 2022, a 380m segment of the main water-carrying stream was successfully constructed with funds from Shen NGO and active community participation, resulting in a significant 50% reduction in water losses. Building upon this success, this project aims to further minimize water losses by constructing an additional 500m water line, consequently expanding irrigated areas by 30 hectares. The extension will utilize 300 meters of D-500 mm iron half-pipes along the primary water-carrying stream, complemented by a 200-meter D-250 mm internal pipeline to supply water to a designated district within the community.
The project encourages community involvement through financial contributions from the community budget and volunteer participation. The internal 200m D-250 mm pipeline is envisioned to be constructed through community investment of funds and voluntary labor.
