Modernization of Irrigation Systems in Darbas Village
Darbas village, part of the Sisian consolidated community in Syunik marz, faces critical challenges in irrigating homestead land plots due to the deteriorated section of its mainstream. The existing infrastructure, post the destruction of the former irrigation network, cannot ensure regular and sufficient water supply, leading to adverse effects on agricultural activities. Recognizing the need for efficient irrigation solutions, this project aims to introduce water-saving drip and sprinkler systems.
Upon completion of the project:
48 farms in Darbas village will have access to efficient drip and sprinkler irrigation.
14 hectares of homestead plots will be irrigated, leading to high-quality crops.
Time and resources will be saved, contributing to increased agricultural productivity.
This project aligns with the community's need for modern irrigation solutions and promotes sustainable agriculture, economic development, and community engagement. The envisioned outcomes aim to enhance the livelihoods of Darbas village residents and establish a resilient irrigation infrastructure for future generations.
