Haghtanak Kindergarten

In 2021-22, we renovated three kindergartens in Archis, Haghtanak, and Ptghavan villages of the enlarged community of Noyemberyan, Tavush Province.

The kindergartens were functioning but not in safe and proper conditions for the children. Some of them have not been renovated in the last 30 years. Due to this, the kindergartens couldn't operate at their total capacity. Thus, many children were left without pre-school education.

The long-awaited renovation of the kindergartens became a reality thanks to the support of our sister organization in Chene France. In 2019, Chene France received the legacy of the late Mr. Eduard Hatabyan. At his request, 250,000 EUR were allocated for renovating kindergartens in Armenia, making the program's implementation possible.

We are happy to mention that the community also had its financial input. Thus, the community allocated about 10,000,000 AMD to renovate the three kindergartens.

From now on, the kindergartens have all the amenities, colorful and comfortable playrooms, bedrooms with appropriate furniture for children, bathrooms, kitchens equipped with all the necessary utensils, and heating systems. As a result, the number of students in three kindergartens has doubled․ 50 students attend Archis kindergarten instead of the previous 30, 60 in Haghtanak instead of 27, and 60 in Ptghavan instead of 30.

These numbers are impressive, especially considering that in addition to providing pre-school education for children up to six years old, this also provided an opportunity for their mothers to have a job.
