In 2021, we signed an MoU with the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation (DSIK) in the frame of the project "Promotion of rural finance and entrepreneurship in the South Caucasus and Ukraine for sustainable development of SMEs." The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) financed the project.

Micro-entrepreneurial exercise

According to the memorandum, a pilot training on "Micro-entrepreneurial exercise" (MBG) and "Farm-entrepreneurial exercise" (FBG) was organized in Aghveran for the staff of "Shen" NGO, as well as two Training of Trainers. The aim was to enable the trained staff of "Shen" NGO to conduct training on Micro Business Game (MBG) and Farmers Business Game (FBG) for the beneficiaries providing them with the basic skills to manage and develop their agricultural and micro businesses successfully.

On April 15, 2022, DSIK Armenia handed over MBG and FBG sets to "Shen" NGO to implement training for the target group of 180 beneficiaries. Beneficiaries of the project are farmers' cooperatives, students of agricultural VET institutions, micro and small-scale farmers, and entrepreneurs in rural areas.

Micro-entrepreneurial exercise

On July 6-8, the employees of "Shen" held a course on "Micro-entrepreneurial exercise" (MBG) for 16 students of Noyemberyan State College. The participants learned how to establish and develop a small enterprise and understand the market process and competition. Also, they got acquainted with the fundamental concepts of economics, finance, marketing, learned to use simple accounting and financial tools, etc.

The course passed with intense discussions and active participation of students. They were very enthusiastic about the knowledge they received and how our staff members delivered it. At the end of the course, 14 of the participants received certificates.
