A Visit to Ijevan Wine-Brandy Factory
On August 5, representatives of marketing groups of Gegharkunik marz, farmers engaged in fruit production and preservation, novice fruit growers, and people involved in social entrepreneurship visited the wine-brandy factory of Ijevan, Tavush marz.
The Ijevan Wine-Brandy Factory produces high-quality brandies, grape and fruit wines, fruit vodkas, a wide variety of preserves, and dried fruits.
During the mutual visit, the participants had the opportunity to see the production process of canning on site. A thorough understanding of the canning value chain process is one of the best approaches to further expanding small businesses and creating opportunities to partner with large manufacturers. Here, the participants see more clearly the prospects for any business to develop independently.
The visit was carried out within the framework of the "Horticulture Market Development Project (HMDP) in Vayots Dzor and Gegharkunik Marzes of Armenia" project, which is financed by the Swiss HEKS-EPER organization and implemented by "Shen" and "Syunik-Development" NGOs.
