HEKS-EPER representatives visiting Gegharkunik
Within the framework of the "Humanitarian Aid and Inclusion for Nagorno-Karabakh Refugees" program, representatives of HEKS-EPER visited the beneficiaries of social and economic development projects of "Shen" charity NGO. The project are implemented with the SCLR (Socio-Economic Community Led Recovery) methodology.
Social development projects
The representatives visited Sevan art school and Gavar city library, which were provided with furniture and equipment within the framework of the project. Afterwards, they moved to Martuni sports school, which was partially renovated and a new heating system was installed.
Economic development project
Our SCLR economic projects aim to create opportunities for forcibly displaced families, helping them create livelihoods and integrate into community life. During the visit, representatives of HEKS-EPER visited the sewing workshop of Artsvanist village, the metalworking workshop of Gandzak village and the animal farm of Vanevan village initiated by the beneficiaries with the support of the program.
Program impact
A total of 8 social and 32 economic projects are implemented in Gegharkunik and Tavush regions of Armenia thanks to the support of HEKS-EPER. The representatives of the latter were excited to see the positive impact of these initiatives on the beneficiary communities.
The "Humanitarian Aid and Inclusion for Nagorno-Karabakh Refugees" program is funding by HEKS/EPER organization and is being implemented by “Shen” NGO, in collaboration with AGBU and “Syunik-Development” Communal NGO.
