Hovit secondary school gymnasium renovation
Hovit secondary school in Shirak marz was founded in 1936. For many years, it has served the community as the only cultural, athletic, and educational institution where many generations have been educated. After the devastating earthquake in 1988, the school has been dilapidated for many years. It was put into service again after the rebuild in 1997.

Shen NGO has launched "The establishment and strengthening of agricultural cooperatives with the use of improved legislation and modern technologies" three years project.
The project pursues the following goals:
Fodder production demo village - reactivation of non-cultivated arable lands
The main aim of the project is to use effective replicable methods for rehabilitating natural fodder areas and decreasing pressure on pastures by cultivating non-used arable lands for fodder production. It will also ensure sustainability by using high-value local varieties of seeds for fodder production and ensuring agrobiodiversity conservation, climate adaptation, and income. The project will include complex pilot areas using different methodologies for improvement.
Drinking water to Geghamabak
In Geghamabak, a border community of Gegharkunik marz, the works of repairing the reservoir and the drinking water system have started.
The Yalkezian Foundation supports purchasing all construction materials, and the community will perform the construction work as a voluntary contribution.
