The main aim of the project is to use effective replicable methods for rehabilitating natural fodder areas and decreasing pressure on pastures by cultivating non-used arable lands for fodder production. It will also ensure sustainability by using high-value local varieties of seeds for fodder production and ensuring agrobiodiversity conservation, climate adaptation, and income. The project will include complex pilot areas using different methodologies for improvement.

In Geghamabak, a border community of Gegharkunik marz, the works of repairing the reservoir and the drinking water system have started.

The Yalkezian Foundation supports purchasing all construction materials, and the community will perform the construction work as a voluntary contribution.

The irrigation of Lernavan village is mainly done through earth canals, due to which most of the water is lost. The Yalkezian Foundation implemented a waterline construction project in 2017-2018. 

Now, the Yalkezian Foundation supports the community in implementing the government-approved subsidy project of building and repairing the rest of the irrigation network. The implementation of this project will bring the construction of Lernavan’s irrigation system to completion by supplying another 60 ha with irrigation.

Sarnaghbyur is a village in the Shirak Province of Armenia. The village kindergarten for children under 6 years old is one of the region's best, with continuous, uninterrupted activity for many years. A maximum of 120 children can attend the kindergarten, but the actual number attending the kindergarten is 77 children. 

14 children from Ayrum and 7 from the neighboring Lchkadzor village do not have the opportunity to attend kindergarten. The renovated part of the existing kindergarten building in Ayrum doesn't have enough capacity to accept new children.

This is the first agroforestry project ever implemented in Armenia. The primary beneficiaries of the project are the 513 residents of Shenavan. Additionally, the inhabitants of Lori region, the 212,600 individuals, of which 125,400 residing in urban areas and 87,200 in rural areas, will indirectly benefit from the project.

Lor village is located in Sisian community of Syunik region. The de facto population of the community is 360, whereas 420 people are registered as residents.

Lor’s House of Culture houses the first aid post, the library, the event hall, the veterinary station, and the actual house of culture. The house of culture needs an overall repair. It is a two-story building, each floor measuring 200 sqm. The roof of the building needs a complete replacement.

Dovegh is located in the northeast of Tavush marz. It is part of Noyemberyan enlarged community. The total number of households is 150. Dovegh has a registered population of 690, but the de facto population is 530. 

The village has a community center, which houses the Council's office, the community library, the first aid post, and the art studio. These facilities are in dire need of repair and furnishing. The community is ready to co-finance the projects. 

The wrestling school of Sarnaghbyur is quite popular in the region. 50 students are attending the school, who are not only from Sarnaghbyur, but also from neighbouring villages. The students of the wrestling school are distinguished by high activity of participation in competitions, with noticeable success. The classes are held in the village community centre, which is not appropriately equipped.

With the generous support of the Yalkezian Foundation in 2022, we launched a project for purchasing sports equipment.
